Spring Cleaning = Clearance Sale

Spring is almost here! How do I know? Because I heard a bird chirping (its been such a long time) and I swatted my first mosquito. Yep, even with the dusting of snow falling outside my window, I know spring is almost here! Good-bye, Winter!

Over this winter, I’ve spent a lot of time playing with my gemstones. Er, I mean I devoted time to designing a new collection based on my gemstone stash. I also thought about my pieces that are carried in other shops, and I decided everything must be refreshed. I called a few boutique owners, and asked them to send my pieces back to me for some TLC. Polishing silver can be a real pain, so most shops were happy to oblige.

I’ve sent most of my jewelry back out into the retail world, but I held on to a few pieces because I kept getting ideas for creating something else out of them. I’ve heard from my other shops that customers often stop by to ‘visit’ a piece of jewelry that they intend to get, someday. I guess it wouldn’t be fair of me to snatch them away without offering one last chance to own them as they are…So here’s the deal:

I’m having a Spring Clearance Sale

Everything in the Sale section has been marked  50% off for 1 week

Friday, March 21st thru Saturday,March 29th.

Then I’m going to  harvest whatever is left, and rework it into new pieces.

My main focus will be as Food Correspondent, where every month (at least) I will treat you to ideas, anecdotes, and of course recipes. I’m excited to join the team that Charish and Evelyn have put together. They accepted me based on an article about eating bugs, so I know this is going to be a fun ride!

Hope you join me at The Motley News, and let me know what you think.

I’ll keep you posted.

Sharing my Birthday

Today is my birthday.

Yeah, yeah age is just a number, and since it’s not that important, let’s just leave it for another post, shall we? The point is, I usually don’t do much celebrating for this most auspicious occasion except create a piece of jewelry for myself or buy some exotic gemstone beads that I’ve been cyber-drooling over for too long. I probably wouldn’t even get a cake if the kids didn’t insist on getting one. and ice cream. and sushi. I’m cool with sushi, but getting to make new pieces of jewelry is really my idea of a happy birthday.

Since I also launched my jewelry business on my birthday, I’ve decided to celebrate it too, by sharing with you.

So from today, February 26th to the end of the month

every piece of jewelry on AmyCousinJewelry.com is 26% off.

The discount shows up in the shopping cart at checkout.

Thank you for celebrating with me!

Happy Birthday Amy!

This was the image on my Google Search page.  I thought it was kind of sweet.

Hi!

Welcome my new blog, to go along with my new website.

I’m working on both right now – well this post is me taking a break from working on my website.  Anyway, it’s going really well, finally.  I was stuck for a long time, for a number of reasons.  Not that important, and certainly not the best way to start a blog that I want you to keep reading.

I figure a launch announcement is just a post or two away, so no link just yet.  Instead, I’ll share my current creative playlist …
